Any suggestions for scanning hundreds of photo’s? Do you know of a FAST scanner? Or a scanning service?
I am cataloging 150 years of family history and need to scan hundreds, perhaps more than a thousand photo’s. I have a scanner (HP 7310xi) which is fairly fast, for a home scanner, but it is much too slow for such a big job.
Do you know of a fast scanner I can use with photo’s? Do you know of a company that provides a service of scanning a large no. of photo’s at a reasonable cost?
I would like to scan some negatives too (again, hundreds), but they’re a lower priority. I know they scan slower than photo’s, and that a regular scanner won’t scan them without an attachment. Any recommendations on that, too?
Got some spare time? (just kidding!)
Any help or suggestions appreciated!
Jennifer – “get yourself a work ethic”?? You even have to insult people who are asking for help? You must be a bitter person. I feel sorry for you.
If there is no rush do the prints yourself. You could buy a slide/negative scanner and do those too – get a used one and sell it when you’re done. With enough coffee, you will be done in 60 hours or so.
I would save my time and scanner. Here is a decent price for good quality scans:
