Where to get a job in Toledo, Ohio?
I am out of ideas. I know of no one that is hiring. I check out craigslist and monster often. I have 2 years in retail and 6 months in food service. I can’t do telemarketing. I have applied and called, but no one is hiring. When I was in Columbus, I’d get callbacks all the time. I’ve applied to: Walmart, Sears, Kmart, Target, Kroger, Kohls, Meijer, Giant Eagle, JC Penny’s, Old Navy, Gap, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Denny’s, Steak ‘n Shake, Bob Evans, and more. I’ve also applied to other industries such as home health care and vendor merchandising.
I have been applying for a job for two months and no one is hiring. I had to leave my last one because the HR assistant screwed up my transfer application.
I am close to giving up on school and moving away. I am in a nursing program right now that there usually is a year waiting list, hence why I moved to Toledo. It’s awful, but if I can’t pay my bills, then I may need to give up on it.
Toledo is a depressed area. I would consider moving back to Columbus. Things are much brighter there. Good Luck!
